“A great experience for our Transition Year Students….. The programme allowed the students to experience equipment that they would never have had a chance to use….. It gave them a fabulous opportunity to see their current fitness levels….. It has highly motivated them to taking personal responsibility of their fitness levels and actively encouraged them to directly participate in sports based programmes in their community. The boys and girls are really looking forward to the return of the live feed heart rate monitoring workshop…..”

“Our students really enjoyed ‘Fitness by designs’ programme. They hadn’t imagined that it would be so much fun and engage their interest as much as it did. They relished the opportunity to administer the tests themselves with the added bonus of using interactive equipment. Each student recorded fitness results for all their tests and are eager to improve them before ‘Fitness by design’ return. An excellent programme which has motivated our students towards improving their fitness levels”

“The use of a computerized system to see the player’s maximum heart rate in real time has given us the opportunity to assess certain player’s physiological and psychological attributes in a game situation….. We also had a clear indication of the players’ maximum heart rate when we put the players through a VO2 test…..”
Kevin Kehoe (Gusserane Senior Football Manager – Wexford Senior Football Finalists)

“Having Fitness by design on board was a huge benefit. As part of the Powerade backed never give up challenge, they provided an extremely professional service for our team….. The tests and technology used provided an eye opening experience with regards to how top level athletes are fitness tested….. The fitness test results and recommendations allowed us to monitor our players’ fitness progression throughout the season.”
Seamus Kiernan (Munterconnaught Junior Fooball Manager)

“Our players had done some fitness tests before but the equipment and the professional approach provided by the testers was way ahead of anything they had experienced before. It was hugely beneficial for the Management team to be able to access all the players on the different components of fitness and from that set targets for each players individual needs.
The use of a computerised system combined with heart rate monitors to view the player’s maximum heart rate while they performed the multi-stage shuttle run was something we found to be of great benefit. The company have always been available to answer any questions that arose following the tests. We look forward to getting Fitness by design back to re-test our squad “
